*Attention Parents regarding Swimming Lessons*

~ The air temperature must be at least 60 degrees and no severe weather (rain is not severe) to open the pool for lessons or open swim.

~ Parents and patrons watching swimming lessons with students in levels 1 - 6 are asked to sit outside the fence to watch.  This is a rule the pool has had, but has not been enforced the past few years.  It is also for liability reasons we need patrons that are not in actual lessons to watch from outside the fence.  If your child is in Preschool 1 or 2, parents are able to come inside as their child may need help in the bathroom or getting in the water.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

~ When your child arrives for lessons, you are allowed to help them change or get ready in the locker room.  We just ask that you return to the area outside the fence once completed.

~ If you want to take pictures of your child, please ask the Lifeguard or Management at the front counter before coming onto the pool deck.

~ This summer the High School pool facility has different swim camps in the morning and occasional evenings and is not always available as an alternative when bad weather arises.  On the first stormy weather day, we will have a safety day inside the pool house.  It lasts about 30 minutes and is something we need to cover/include by Red Cross standards and counts as a full day of swimming lessons.  Those students that have 50 minute classes will be getting done early.

~ The Red Cross swimming lessons program is an 8 day program, so we already have 2 make-up days built into our 10 day schedule in case of bad weather.

~ Our life jacket day will be the second Monday of your scheduled session.  Students in Preschool level 1 through level 3 will be asked to bring in a life jacket to use (bring one if you have one, you do not need to go buy one specifically for this day).  Students in levels 4 - 6 may be asked to bring a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt so they can experience what it is like swimming with clothes on.  The teachers will cover other safety type things on this day as well.

Thank you for your cooperation.  It helps us to run our program smoothly and helps our students get the most out of lessons.
